Around the world, countries like China, India, and Europe are sprinting ahead in AI literacy, embedding AI education deeply into their school systems.
China mandates AI classes from elementary through university, aiming to build a tech-savvy generation by 2035. India’s National AI Literacy Mission pushes AI training across urban and rural youth with corporate incentives, while Europe’s AI Literacy Framework equips students to critically understand and use AI. These strategic moves aren’t just about skill, they’re about global power in the AI era.
Meanwhile, the U.S. is stuck playing catch-up. AI programs exist but are scattered, uncoordinated, and inadequate. A shocking 58% of students say they lack basic AI knowledge, and nearly half feel unprepared for an AI-driven workforce.
This gap is a looming threat to American competitiveness. If the U.S. doesn’t democratize AI literacy—making it universal, equitable, and urgent—millions of young Americans risk being left behind in a world run by AI.
Let's give our children, students and businesses equal footing in the global race to master AI.
